Draft Guidelines on Deinstitutionalisation, including in Emergencies
On 20th May, the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities published the “Draft Guidelines on Deinstitutionalisation, including in Emergencies” and launched the process of public consultation. The aim of the Draft Guidelines is to assist States Parties in fulfilling their obligations under article 19 of the CRPD, on living independently and being included in the community.
