TCI Global is an alliance of persons with psychosocial disabilities and their representative organizations along with individuals and organizations of persons from cross disabilities and other civil society groups. TCI Global’s membership is comprised of three distinct membership categories: Full members, Associate Members, and Emeritus Members
Full Members
Full Members are the backbone of TCI Membership, contributing to its vision and mission. Full members are organizations of persons with psychosocial disabilities, that share the purpose of association, are a legal entity (desirable but not mandatory), and have voting rights.
Eligibility criteria
To be acknowledged as a “Full Member” within the Association, an organization has to meet the following requirements:

It must be an organization of persons with psycho-social disabilities;

It should be legally incorporated or actively working toward being structured as a legally incorporated organization, with legal incorporation being desirable but not mandatory.

It must share and align with the purpose of the Association.
Membership Opportunities
- Participation in the General Assembly with full voting rights on key decisions, including statutes and strategic frameworks.
- Opportunities to engage in TCI’s advocacy initiatives and campaigns.
- Capacity building through research, fellowships, OPD grants and microgrants, knowledge sharing, peer-to-peer learning, and capacity-building programs.
- Opportunities to represent TCI in global forums, consultations, and key policy discussions.
- Opportunities to develop joint proposals, research, advocacy campaigns, webinars, and strategic initiatives.
Associate Members
Associate Members are individuals (including persons with psychosocial disabilities and those with cross-disabilities) or organizations that support the work of Full Members and actively engage in TCI-led activities and advocacy campaigns. While they do not have voting rights, Associate Members play a valuable role in strengthening the movement through their expertise, participation, and influence.
Eligibility criteria
To become an Associate Member, an individual or organization must meet the following criteria:

An individual or entity working towards the purpose of the Association.

Cross-disability organization at the national level, supporting and contributing to the Association’s purpose.
Membership Opportunities
- Attend the General Assembly, with no voting rights.
- Eligible to apply for Full Membership if they meet the criteria for it.
- Participation in TCI’s advocacy campaigns and initiatives by contributing expertise and experience Engagement in working groups, discussions, and collaborations that support the Association’s objectives.
- Access to TCI’s newsletters, resources, and information and opportunities-sharing platforms.
- Capacity-building opportunities, including training sessions, workshops, mentorship, learning webinars, and networking.
Emeritus Members
Emeritus Membership is conferred on individuals with distinguished professional qualifications in recognition of their contributions towards the movement of inclusion. Emeritus members can share their knowledge, experience and expertise to contribute to the work of the Association.
Membership Opportunities
- Serve as advisory members to TCI’s committees, working groups, and the General Assembly, contributing strategic insights and expertise.
- Emeritus Members are welcome to attend the General Assembly, with no voting rights.
- Acknowledgment of their contributions through TCI’s platforms, including website features, social media and reports.
- Opportunities to mentor emerging leaders and OPDs, sharing best practices from their experience.
- Invitations to speak at TCI-led webinars, conferences, and advocacy events to influence policy frameworks and strengthen the movement.
- Engage in various programs, advisory panels, or research initiatives where their expertise can make a lasting impact.
- Participation in consultations, document reviews, and policy discussions with TCI’s network such as cross disability movement, donor agencies, government agencies, civil societies and UN agencies.
- Receive exclusive updates on international advocacy efforts, research developments, and emerging trends in the field.
