Transforming Communities for Inclusion (TCI) in partnership with the Disabled Peoples’ International Korea (DPI-Korea) and the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD), is conducting the 2025 Capacity-Building Program for Young Women with Psychosocial Disabilities from South Asia, Indonesia, and Thailand. The training is currently happening from 29th September to 3rd October in Bangkok.
This program is designed to strengthen the leadership of young women with psychosocial disabilities by:
- Enhancing their knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and related international frameworks.
- Building advocacy, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Creating regional networks to support peer learning and solidarity.
- Providing practical field experience through community visits.
The initiative ensures that young women with psychosocial disabilities are empowered to take leadership roles, actively participate in decision-making, and contribute to shaping inclusive policies and programs at national, regional, and global levels.
This is a step towards making the principle of “Nothing About Us Without Us” a lived reality where the voices of women with psychosocial disabilities guide the future of inclusion.
